Andrew James Specialist Recruitment is delighted to be retained by Grenke Leasing in the UK, to manage the search for, and assist with the selection of a new Head of Administration.
Headquartered in Guildford, Surrey, GRENKE Leasing is a specialist Sales Aid Leasing company. Grenke partner globally with many leading equipment manufacturers and resellers within Print, IT, Telecoms and numerous other asset groups. GRENKE began trading in the UK in 2002 and since then has expanded significantly opening offices in many of the UK’s major towns and cities. A new role, the Head of Administration to be based at Grenke’s Head Office in Guildford, Surrey.
KEY ROLE OBJECTIVES
As Head of Administration your mission is to direct all operations and functions under your responsibility to strategically put into practice the Managing Directors’ vision and to provide what is needed to ensure the departments under your responsibility achieve their targets. As Head of Administration you have a strategic intuition, make fast decisions and have very good interpersonal skills that your colleagues appreciate and respect.
KEY TASKS AND SKILLS
STRATEGY
Support the Managing Director, Administration in the implementation of strategic development, budgeting, financial performance, forecasting accuracy, organisational planning and policy setting in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Implement the country strategy to fulfil the Group mission. Ensuring the establishment of the corporate culture and values.
PEOPLE
Effectively leading and developing Team Leaders and employees.
Ensure teams are empowered, processes are functional, the vision and strategy are clear and that your teams are fully motivated and engaged.
Continue to build an effective & efficient organisation, by empowering the Team Leaders.
Delegating tasks and providing continuous coaching to ensure optimal performance within your areas of responsibility.
Resolve performance management or other employee related issues, with the support of HR.
BUSINESS
Monitor the overall operations and success of the Administration, Collections and Legal departments, including associated reporting.
Support the legal department with escalations of legal cases.
Grow the GRENKE culture, establish and expand synergies between departments. Focus on professional development and optimising high performance.
Transfer knowledge and information effectively between teams.
Promote best practice and help others to follow the correct processes and procedures.
Offer and find products & solutions using your previous business experience. Engage with external providers and agree appropriate contracts for services suppliers, lenders, and other third parties.
FINANCE
Plan and monitor budgets (financial & HR plan) and P&L within area of responsibility.
Manage re-financing requirements.
Work with the Managing Director Administration, Team Leaders and Headquarters departments to ensure budgets are adhered to.
REGULATIONS AND RISKS
Support the Managing Director with corporate governance requirements.
Provide business support and be the key contact for all regulatory bodies, for example FCA, FOS etc.
Oversee and manage risks within areas of responsibility.
Work with the Compliance Manager to resolve risks swiftly and to ensure best practice.
Supervise and ensure the correct application of Group Compliance standards, Health and Safety, Data Protection and Data Handling, AML and Group QM standards.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Degree calibre, with at least 5 years of professional experience either within GRENKE or in other companies, including the management of a variety of departments.
Minimum 5 years people management experience, including the resolution of performance management issues
Confident communicator able to engage at all levels including Board level communications regarding strategy.
IT and Project Management skills
A team player, who is self-motivated, highly organised, and reliable
Strategic intuition, with ability to make fast decisions.
