HR Manager

A sports organisation, with an office based in Sout West London is looking for a HR manager to join its small HR team.

Reporting to the Head of HR and helping a HR Advisor and HR Assistant to be as successful as they can be, this is a busy generalist role in an organisation that has great purpose, reach and responsibility.

Primarily, the role will support an employee base in their South West London office, but it will also cover a select few employees who are based overseas. The organisation is small in numbers, so the HR team also have responsibility for managing facilities and delivering operationally and strategically a brilliant experience for their employees..

Duties will be broad and generalist, ranging from managing employee relations issues, updating policies and the handbook, managing recruitment campaigns, lading on development programmes, managing and conducting employee surveys, reviewing benefits provisions and in an emergency situations, processing payroll. The role will also have project responsibility, offering the incumbent the opportunity to  work across the organisation and implement new ideas and initiatives.

To apply to this role you should be a HR Manager, or possibly senior HR Advisor / HRBP who has strong generalist experience which includes operational responsibility. This is a small organisation and the team are close – no task is too big or too small and operational duties will be included in the role. As such, experience should be gained from small and medium size businesses or organisations. It is likely that you will be CIPD qualified, but the organisation can support study if this is something that you would like to purse.

You should expect to work in the office at least 3 days per week and live in commutable distance to South West London.

The successful candidate will have a can do attitude will understand what will be involved in a small organisation generalist HR role. The successful candidate will be confident to handle meetings with senior level stakeholders and will have a level of employment law understanding and employee relations experience that will enable them to be confident in offering advise. It would be beneficial if you have experience of sports related organisations but this is not essential.
