National Sales Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a National Sales Manager to join one of our favourite clients.

This is a new role in the business, designed to bridge the gap between the Sales Directors and Sales Managers, playing a crucial role in assisting designing sales strategy, analysing trends, offering reporting statistics and identifying training needs (and delivering / sourcing solutions).

The business works across a series of offices in the UK. Operating from a base in Surrey, the role will  be required to travel regularly, working closely with sales managers in offices across England, Wales and sometimes Scotland.

This is a rare and unique opportunity to secure a role in a business which is performing well and is set up for un precedented success after the pandemic. The position offers the opportunity for a sales leader to secure a role that is focusing in on staff development, strategy and analytics, assisting them on their journey to sales leader and director roles.

To apply to this role, it is expected that applicants will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a strong track record of pursuing continuous professional development and learning. Applicants should have experience at Sales Manager, Head of Sales, or Sales operations / enablement manager level. Experience with managing sales professionals is essential and applicants should be able to demonstrate experience of working with sales leaders on their development (some experience of training sales staff will be useful).

The successful candidate will be strong with systems, bringing the ability to analyse data and interpret reports. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and presenter, able to work effectively with Sales staff, colleagues and also wider important functions such as HR, marketing and group head office. The successful candidate will have a carefully considered and managed career profile, with steady and long service evident in roles – our client does not feel that regular job changes in someone’s cv represents the ability to identify right opportunities and the ability to succeed over time in a role.

Salary: Up to £70,000 basic, car allowance, profit share, £110,000 OTE

Location: Surrey head office, national travel
