Head of HR

A leading internationally owned business is looking for a Head of HR, to join its business and lead the EMEA focused generalist HR team.

Managing a small team of business partners and reporting to the international HR Director, the role will work closely with divisional leaders, partnering the businesses European operations to ensure a timely and effective HR service is received across EMEA.

A role with an operational focus, but with input into localised people plans, the role needs to work effectively in a matrix environment which must react to new global initiatives and changing business landscapes rapidly.

An environment where the only constant is change, this role will need to navigate the varied challenges and demands on the function, prioritising output and workload in the team in such a way that the business is able to meet its ever changing commercial and operational goals.

The team are focused on resourcing, succession, retention, and workforce planning as a result. The environment is complex, and it employs a variety of staff so the role, through the team, is responsible for ensuring that employee relations and change management activity is being managed and reacted to in the best possible way.

To apply to this role, you should be a CIPD qualified Senior HR manager, Head of HR or Senior HR Business Partner who is currently managing a team of HR Advisors or Business Partners. The role will suit someone who is used to working in a medium size environment where staff are sparsely spread across the UK and wider European and Middle Eastern offices. It is important that applicants have worked in environments that are internationally owned. It should be noted that the role largely has an operational and reactive, very fast paced and busy workload. Whilst it manages a team, applicants should not expect to find a role that is setting the HR strategy and people plan. With that said, the role does offer a brilliant opportunity for someone to continue their progression towards number 1 HR roles. The environment is successful and growing, it is likely that long term promotion opportunity will present itself.

The successful candidate will be a confident and personable character who is able to build credible relationships with a commercially minded, sales driven and customer experience focused leadership team. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work at pace. The successful candidate will demonstrate the mind frame and flexibility to shift time and resource to new initiatives, without being frustrated. It is likely that the successful candidate will have worked in complex matrix environments that are sales driven and internationally owned.

Salary: c £70,000 - £80,000 plus bonus and package
