Business Development Executive / Manager (Great long term opportunity this one!)

A start up business which enjoys the backing of its parent company (best of both worlds!), is looking for a Business Development Manager to join its commercial function. This is a hands on role that will suit a sales executive or account manager who is looking for a brilliant long term opportunity in which they can grow with a business.


This role will act as a focal point for sales related activity for the firm. Its varied, but it does have a key focus…..

The business has worked hard to build an incredible service that is growing nationwide. It’s a new service that supports people in changing situations and it already has rave reviews. The marketing team is in place and the online presence is made ….. this role will work to develop relationships with partners that are crucial in helping the business reach its target customers.


It is important, but not complex. Afterall, partners will want to hear about this service as it ultimately enhances the experience that they are offering to people.


In the role you will work to map out potential partners for the firm. From there you will use your skills to open doors, make meetings, spread the word and act as a champion for the service. Of course, as part of this you will make calls, work on social media, attend shows and events, make presentations, close contracts and do deals. But underneath all of that you will being passion, energy and drive to getting the service out there to customers, via relevant partners.


In exchange, the business offers start up excitement with big company security. The business works hard to develop a brilliant team atmosphere and a supportive culture.

This is likely to come from a business development, account management or partnership role to date. Industry sector is not important but this employer values loyalty. It should be noted that hybrid working is offered but office time through probation (Guildford) will be important. Furthermore, the role will involve travel (to visit, mix with and establish new partnership arrangements). You must be willing to do this and view meeting people in person, face to face as an enjoyable part of your role.

Salary: c £30,000 base, £50,000 OTE. Lots of career progression

Location: Guildford, Surrey. Hybrid but office induction. Some UK travel
